yesidid,
Well said!
BP, also, would do well to remember: "Always engage brain before putting mouth into gear."
(And a little education very definitely never hurt anyone!)
Bill.
i just read this in our local newspaper this morning and thought it is very interesting.
this law is aimed at door to door marketing by companies but i am wondering if this may end up including religious 'sales persons'.
the comments below the story are worth reading as jw's and religious callers are definitely who many people want stopped under this new law.. .

just curious here who uses the new tablet computers, whether they be android based or ipad ios from apple.
does anyone here use a phone to post and what is your experience with that?.
i'm curious as to how much more time there will be before these devices are the main computers for people.
cantleave,
He may sound impressive, but - as always with him - watch out for the "Baffle with Bull$*#t if you can't Blind with Science" factor!
Whispers of Consultant-Speak appear here, to:
i.e. Value of report is in direct proportion to the number of words used, giving new meaning to the term "Verbal Diarrhea"!
Bill.
stop telling everyone your proofs if you your self are shy of commitment.
show some faith and give everything to charity..
The Witless who turned up at my door yesterday morning arrived in a nice looking SUV:
- he could give that to me, I wouldn't protest (as long as he keeps up the Hire Purchase payments himself!).
Anyway, has OBVES-ly Demented ever claimed to be a JW? Not to my knowledge.
Bill.

Good idea:
- There is that saying "How about putting your money where your mouth is".
- That would be the acid test of how much faith he has in his own ravings!
Bill.
as i recall in the 1980s talks and watchtower literature, magazines and books were always talking about the "generation" teaching and how it proved armageddon was going to come any day now.. but am i correct in thinking they have only actually mentioned the new "overlapping generations" teaching once or twice in the literature?
why are they so shy about talking about their great new interpretation?
it's almost enough to make you suspect they are a embarrassed about it.. mention it once or twice, don't dwell on it, hope everyone just accepts it, and don't bring it up again.
Chris,
If he isn't a troll, then he does a bloody good job of imitating one.
Still, if others enjoy being wound up, who am I to stop them!
Bill.

I join with the others who caution that replying to this troll only feeds it:
- particularly an attention freak like this one!

00DAD,
You are quite right, of course.
I admit to taking pleasure out of calling he - and the likes of him - F#%kWits Dunderheads to their faces:
- and thus stick pins into their backsides!

outsmarthesystem,
Well said, but this Damned Fool of a DJ will argue against the obvious;
- I suspect that this may be how he gets his rocks off - i.e. by winding people up.
Next thing the bloody fool will be trying to argue with us that the writing on this page is in fact white, on a black background! He might just as well try and do that, as try to defend the WTS's defense of their "generation" explanations!
(Likewise for his insistence that JWs are "free" to choose what they will do, or what they believe in - he'd have more success trying to insist black is white!).
Bill.

"If you should be one of Jehovahs Witnesses and you, as one of Jehovahs Witnesses, should turn over your brain to someone else to obey whatever that person says, then you are not free, but in slavery."
DjDamnfool,
Thank you, you have just shot your bloody self in the foot with that remark!
Few (if any) of us here are going to swallow that line of yours about JWs being "free" to choose what they do or what they believe:
- too many of us have been there already, and happen to know otherwise.
Bill.
PS: If anybody else on this discussion board thinks JWs do, in fact, have more than just "Hobson's Choice" in these matters, please speak up. (While I brace myself for a loud silence!)

DjDamnFool,
Christians might be free people:
- Jehovahs Witnesses, though, are "free" only to do what they are told!
No amount of baffflegab / circumlocution / verbal diarrhea (or staight out codswhallop) from you or anyone else changes that.
Bill.
